James Angel is a contemporary artist and key contributor to Phoenix’s evolving downtown arts scene. As a co-founder of the artist collective 3CARPILEUP and the annual Chaos Theory event, his work is closely tied to community-driven creative initiatives.

Angel has studied under and collaborated with established artists and publishers, developing a distinctive and considered practice. His work has been exhibited across a range of galleries and institutions, including the Torrance Art Museum in California and Tilt Gallery’s juried exhibition Infinite Possibilities: Art of Tomorrow. He has also participated in the Bushwick Open Studios event in New York, further expanding his reach.
